Amir is an Architectural Assistant at Twelve.
He completed both his BA and MA in Architecture at Kingston University. Before joining Twelve, Amir worked on a range of residential projects in the UK.
Amir believes architecture lives in our imagination, and that construction is as much imaginative, as it is physical. Before a building can be constructed in the world, it is constructed in our minds. He is interested in the way buildings carry stories of the past, and how they are shaped by their surrounding narratives and uses. As we experience a building, we see it in the light of our own stories and histories.
Amir is interested in sustainable design and is fascinated with the way architecture manifests itself over the time. He believes architecture is about creating beautiful, eye-catching structures that are affordable and consider the health of the planet. Ultimately, Amir believes that with the right choice of materials, construction methods and a focus on vernacular architecture, we can work towards saving our future planet.
