Platov Airport in Rostov-on-Don received Best Regional Airport Award

Platov International Airport (ROV) was named the Best Regional Airport in Russia and CIS, London-based Skytrax announced during the 2020 World Airport Awards.

Skytrax’s World Airport Awards are based on responses to customer satisfaction surveys, as benchmarked and ranked by airport passengers around the world. More than 550 airports across world regions are ranked in a number of areas, and the awards are independent of any airport control or input.

The first Radisson-branded hotel in Russia designed by Twelve Architects

Set to arrive in the Urals region of the country, the newly built Radisson Hotel Perm will have 150 rooms and is due to open in late 2021. Alexander Petrov, Owner of Prospect Group, said: “We are proud to bring the first upscale international hotel to Perm, a fast-growing city where quality hospitality services are really needed. It is an outstanding project designed by Twelve Architects, an award-winning international company, and will represent a unique architectural example for the whole of Russia.”

Bodmin-Jail-Cornwall

Bodmin Jail made the 10 hotly anticipated hotels opening in 2019 list!

In Cornwall, spiffy hotels are rising from the ashes of crumbling infrastructure. Restorers have relocated nine species of bat from inside the 18th-century Bodmin prison, unused for nearly a century, so the building could be converted into a 63-bedroom boutique hotel. An outbuilding will house the bats, and the old gallows will relocate to a viewing platform so Twelve Architects can open up the dark core into cosy guest accommodation.
